we LOVE...

....LOVE day!!

and i LOVE that i was off to be with my family that day :)

we started the morning off with our {LoveBug} gifts and a nice warm breakfast....amazing what momma can do with a few days off!

first party of the day...Audrey!

it was I Love Reading Day so the kids got to wear their PJs, have a yummy snack and read with their parents... 

 audrey and her sweet teacher....who we LOVE!

after lunch with a sweet friend....us girls have to take care of ourselves :) ....it was time for grant's party!

my kid's valentines for their friends this year...grant's were the same but red label :) 

we LOVED a quick visit with these sweet friends...  

and we LOVED being able to celebrate a day early this sweet girl's FIRST birthday!

i still can't believe it has already been a year... 

it was a wonderful valentine's day....full of things we LOVE!!

a cold day...

....on the softball field!

it was one of those beautiful february days that when the sun was out, it was cool but gorgeous....though the moment the sun went down it was down right CHILLY!

we came prepared with TONS of layers and fleece hats, yes even under our helmet! 

the cold didn't bother grant...he was having fun!

....even daddy was bundled up! 

we even made the hat work while wearing our face mask in the field!

ok...now we're done...it's COLD!...

so thankful for an off day, especially whe you open your eyes to this snuggled next to you... 

and one more day of girl time....and me playing with my phone and new camera app :) 

over christmas break brett took on a little home improvement project....tiling our bathroom/laundry room....he did an AMAZING job!...though midway through his knees were bothering him, so i fashioned him some knee pads... 

not a great pic of the finished product but a GREAT job! 

of course one renovation lead to another....above the washer and dryer is some amazing shelving that need a little *upgrade* too....i felt pretty baskets helped make the space look more finished... 

and one more project....framing some of the kids artwork....i love having the kids artwork throughout the house! 

audrey was excited to show off one of kit's new outfits from christmas....i mean how cute are they?!? 

all the boys...big and small...keeping themselves entertained during the girl's basketball game! 

and we also had some AWESOME visitors!!

we LOVE it when we can get together with grey and his parents :)

and the month ended on a sad note....one of brett's former classmates and coaches passed away....ryan a great guy and will be sorely missed....

so much....

....for a new years resolution about blogging!

oh well....let's catch up....

january came to a finish with the end of audrey's first basketball season...and we are so proud of how far she came!

coach tiffany was out of town so brett stepped up to the plate.... 

who says you can't look cute while playing ball?!?

ok, this pic below is blurry....but my favorite!!...my sweet girl finally became aggressive....yea! that is a big step for her :) we started the season not sure which way we were going on the court and finished it up by elbowing some girls and fighting for the ball!
