....is really no fun sometimes!!
in the world of "mom blogs" we tend to focus on the good times, the best pics, the cutest events, hair just right, kids looking oh-so-cute....and rightly we should, this is our outlet to share our children's lives with our friends and family....heck, no one wants to hear about the hissy fit that mommy the kids threw last night or who is constipated or who said a *potty word* one too many times....we all deal with that in our own homes everyday....we don't want to look at/read about someone else's issues....but then there comes a time to blog about it....lay it all out there...pull the rose colored glasses off and realize sometimes real life just isn't fun....
below is my case in point....the reason why i was home yesterday....the nagging issue we have been dealing with off & on since new year's day....yup, a leak....ugh.
you might be a bit "red" if you stick a towel in the gaping hole where the sheet rock has fallen off....
below you can see where the wooden facade has begun to seperate....i can't even imagine what the actual support beam inside there looks like...
but then again, when it has rained so much the past week that you now have a creek running through your front yard what do you expect?!?!...
but let's put this whole *issue* into perspective....
i have a house
with a roof
that keeps my family & i warm
and sheltered.
yes, it is leaking.
it is just an aggrevating life lesson.
my children are healthy,
my hubby is healthy,
and i am healthy.
yes, the roof is leaking.....yes, it stinks....and yes, it will be fixed. (insurance adjuster coming today!)
but right now that's life...and sometimes it's just no fun!

I hate real life frustrations like this...but you are right to keep it in perspective! Although, it's fine to verbalize the frustration I think:). Our yard looks about like yours too!
